Being Misunderstood

BEING MISUNDERSTOOD
Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate. Albert Schweitzer
***Sometimes we are misunderstood. That is a part of life. We can't all understand everyone and everything. We are different and we have our own thoughts and feelings about life. We can let it eat at our souls or choose to let it go. Life is all about becoming who you are meant to be and standing up for what you believe in. And sometimes, that means risking being misunderstood and misread. Here are some questions to ask when you are caught in the middle of something you never intended...
1) Did you mean to come across that way? Did you come into the situation with an open heart to be understood or did you come halfheartedly?
2) Did you do all you could to be understood, after being misunderstood?
3) Do you wish the best for the other person or are you filled with anger about the situation and the person?
If you want to be able to truly let go of the situation, you need to ask yourself if you did your best in trying to fix the problem...When you have done everything you could do...You can say to yourself...I have done all I can. I wish the best for the other person and if the situation can be fixed through kindness and a little distance...I am open to that. Until then, I choose to move forward with an open heart and clear mind...
