The Magic Gratitude Challenge
So do you believe in MAGIC? I am not speaking about hocus pocus, rabbits being pulled from hats or mystical illusions. I am talking about THE MAGIC OF LIFE! A life that is experienced with your mind, heart and eyes wide open!
Do you remember the magic of your youth? How everything you saw and touched seemed magical and new? The excitement of the day to come was something that came natural. The world was a peaceful place that you felt safe and secure in. You didn't judge the world around you, you just took it all in. Letting the world be what it was without having to feel like you had to change it in anyway. As time went by, you began school and slowly but surely your magical little world disappeared. Poof like magic it was gone. You began to look at the world differently. With feelings of failure, worry, and disappointment. Even judgement and hatred began to seep in, as well.
But why? Because we let go of the magic of life. We let the negativity and judgement rule our thoughts and feelings. We closed our minds, hearts and eyes to the life that was meant for us. Mainly out of fear of not being enough or having enough. Well, I am here to say that THE MAGIC OF LIFE still exists. It still lives in all of us. We just have to reconnect to it. And the way to do it is through gratitude! By continually staying connected to the magic of life through gratitude you are actually using The Law Of Attraction the way it was intended. And you are creating the life that you want to live without much effort. All it takes is practice to train your mind to think with gratitude. And by doing this challenge you are continually practicing it for 28 days, which helps to make it a part of your daily life.
Your thoughts and feelings control your mood. By becoming more aware of your thoughts you change everything about your life. GRATITUDE is the key to unlock the MAGIC! You will be amazed about how good you feel as the days go by. Your mind will be clearer and your heart will be filled with more love, happiness and contentment than you could of ever imagined! Your eyes will be on the look out for more things to be grateful for. You will soon see things you have wanted to show up in your life for years, show up almost effortlessly and right on que. That is The Law Of Attraction at it's best! You see The Law of Attraction is always working, whether we want it to or not. Why not have it work for you?
There will be a few challenges that you may think are silly, not useful or not for you. Please, push through them and do it with an open heart. The challenge is set up perfectly to get you to the next step to where you want to be. If you miss a day, step back three days and redo the challenges. So you will experience the full effect of The Magic.
If you have not read through the first chapter, please do so now. You will also need a notebook, journal or use your computer to save all your challenges and your daily "Count Your Blessings" gratitude list. It is important to be able to look back on some of the challenges and it is fun to read back to see what you were grateful for. You will forget some of them as your go. So rereading them will reassure that you stay in the feeling of gratitude for them.
You will need to find some private time in the next few days to write down your dreams. The author, Rhonda Byrne talks in depth about it on page 25-27 of The Magic book. She will ask you to pull it out later in the book. So don't be like me where I had to scramble to get it done...So I could move forward in the challenge. I wrote 15 pages in complete detail of how I saw my life and the things I wanted to come true. I suggest you really get clear on what your dreams are and take it very seriously. Like you are ordering your life from a catalog or menu! ;) Have fun and let your imagine take over! I will say that my biggest areas I wrote about were becoming closer to my family, my family's, as well as my own continued health and longevity, an easy yet, lucrative career, which didn't take time away from my family and my dream home right down to the landscaping and how the pool would look! I wrote about my marriage, kids, extended family, money, hobbies I wanted to try, adventures I dreamed of doing, becoming more spiritual and connected to God, and frequent vacationing to explore this beautiful world! I plan on writing a new one today...I have even more I want to add to my list!
DAY 1: Count Your Blessings
This is something you will do everyday throughout the challenge. I can't stress the importance enough on this daily exercise! You will choose the best time to sit and write what you are grateful for and why. The reason you write "why" you are grateful is that it makes your think and focus on it even more. Creating a powerful feeling that attaches you more to your list of blessings! It works like MAGIC! You will read your list back to yourself and say thank you three times after each blessing you read. By reading it back and saying thank you three times, it creates an even more powerful feeling inside of you. Make sure when you are reading them back, you are feeling the blessing. Visualize and FEEL them fill up in your heart and overflow with as much love and appreciation as you can find.
You will do this daily. I suggest you do it as soon as you get up. So you can start your day off right! If you want to share your list of blessings with us that would be wonderful! It will not only help you more by sharing, it will help others realize some things that they may want to add to their own list of blessings. I call it the "full circle experience"! The more we give, the more we receive! That is one reason I am sharing this experience with you! I believe that when you do good and help others reach their goals...You will be blessed more for it too!
Read chapter 2 before tomorrow...I will see you back here bright and early!!!

There are so many things in life that I count as blessings. But here I will list the top 10 things I am grateful for:
ReplyDelete1) My partner, Kelly. She changed my life from an existence to a life fully lived. She shows me every day deeper dimensions of love and commitment. My life would be a pale comparison of its current form without her.
2) My mother. She always believed in me and convinced me each and every day that I could achieve whatever I wanted. She formed me into the independent, strong, competent and capable woman that I am. She also showed me tender compassion, unconditional love, patience and appreciation for beauty.
3) My family. Without them, I would be a failure. My current home family, my family of origin and my extended family. They have built my character, instructed my values, and given me my “center” that I always come back to.
4) My son, Maddox. He allowed me the first opportunity to understand a mother's love. Without him, I would never have known that feeling. He allows me every day to understand more completely how deep a mother's love can be and makes me appreciate my own mother more each day.
5) My journey. I am thankful every day that the events of my life and the lessons I have learned have brought me where I am. Without each and every trial, tribulation, joy, love, defeat and victory, I would be a different person in a different life.
6) My grandparents. They taught me so much that I never realized until I was much older. I am still trying to practice all that they taught me.
7) My friends. They are not that numerous, but they are golden.
8) My education. I worked hard for it, but I was blessed to be able to pursue it and stay with it until I finished. Without it, I would not have the blessings of...
9) My career. It has allowed me to have a wonderful life.
10) My health. So far, so good. I don't have a perfect body, but I am generally healthy and able to do most of the things I desire. I know I have it really good.
