The Magic Gratitude Challenge ~ Day 2

The Magic Rock

Day 2: The Magic Rock

If you have read or watched, The Secret you have seen where one of the spiritual teachers, Lee Brower had talked about the gratitude rock. There was a father that had a dying child and was given a gratitude rock. The rock was something he held over his son and would think thoughts of his son completely being healed and well. His son was healed and he believed the gratitude rock helped. I believe when you truly "focus" (I am meaning FEEL) and believe, it helps to align yourself more with God (or your own religion or spiritual belief.) You can use gratitude rocks for many things like health, money, happiness...or just to give thanks!

So, today you will go outside where ever you are or go to a place that brings you peace and happiness. Look for a small rock that fits in your hand. The rock should be smooth, light in weight and feels good when you hold it. When I went out to find mine. I went to my garden and I spotted mine instantly. It was pearl white (my favorite color is white), perfectly rounded and felt perfect when I held it. When you find your perfect rock, you will place it next to your bed. Just before you go to sleep you will pick up your rock and hold it in your hand. You will think about all the good things (big and small) that happened in your day. You will choose the best moment of the day that brought you the most joy. By having to process through your day to find the best moment of your day. You are actually remembering all the wonderful things that had happened to you during the day. It is like you are doing a "Count Your Blessings" list in your mind. And by doing that right before you go to sleep, you are setting yourself up for a more peaceful sleep. Most nights, we are worrying about what happened during our day, who hurt our feelings and what stress we have to face the next day. By doing this simple exercise, you will train your mind to focus on happiness and peace. And will marinate in that good feeling all night, assuring a more happy and peaceful morning!

At first, I felt silly looking for a rock. I thought to myself...Is this worth it? I decided to follow through because it was a challenge I had promised myself  I would complete. I will say that within a week I truly understood the power of this challenge and I still do it every single night and will continue to the rest of my life. I even use my rock during the day and when I pray. Anytime I need to be uplifted and renewed! I feel like I focus more on positive outcomes with it. It is just a symbol, I know. But I have used it so many times in positive ways that it has become a part of my daily life. I even put it in my husband's hand just before he falls asleep. I ask him what the best moment of his day was. And then I know his last thought was something wonderful. And he will sleep more peacefully too! It is a simple thing that has changed my life! I hope it works as well for you!

You will do another "Count Your Blessings" this morning...Think of 10 things you are thankful for. And make sure to FEEL them as you are writing and saying them! If you would like to share them with us, that would be wonderful! You can either post them on A Screaming Good Life Blog or FB Page...And if you want to keep them private, that is great too! Just make sure to follow through the whole 28 days for a full effect! I did receive quite a few emails, where many wanted to share their list with me in private. I am open to doing it that way, as well! If you have not bought the book yet, I would suggest you do. You can always do The "Count Your Blessings" with us and start from Day 1 on A Screaming Good Life Blog when you get the book.

Read Day 3~Magical Relationships today and I will see you here tomorrow!

  2. "'8.) I want it to work for them, AS MUCH as I want it for myself"...Words are powerful...so you want to make sure you say them correctly...Our words are creating our future...Make you remember to say exactly what you want. So, me saying AS MUCH instead of...I want it more for them...is very different...My mother in law pointed that out when I read mine to her! thank you, MIL!
